Community theater auditions for teens

The CT based Landmark Community Theater will be holding auditions for its Regional Teen Drama Club production of CARRIE the Musical. Auditions are scheduled for Wednesday, the 5th with callbacks to follow.

The production is looking to fill 17 teen roles between the ages of 13 and 19. The company will produce 3 stage shows in June. All roles are open including the lead role of Carrie.

Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel, Carrie , the musical is a newly reworked and fully re-imagined vision of this gripping tale. The musical is about Carrie White, a bullied teen who discovers she has some very special and deadly powers. When teen pranks and bullies push their game too far, Carrie pushes back.

Music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), and lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose).

Landmark Community Theatre holds auditions for CARRIE the Musical, a Landmark Regional Teen Drama Club production. This drama program will offer regional teens real world experience, with qualified production staff, in all aspects of the performing arts culminating with one high quality, full-scale musical production not typically offered to teens.

What to prepare:
lease prepare a 1 to 2 minute broadway style musical piece (not from this show) and provide sheet music for accompanist. Ensemble also needed. No appointments are necessary. Auditioners for the LCT Regional Drama Club must be between ages 13 & 19.
