Acting workshop this weekend in Pittsburgh PA

How to Create and Submit Auditions for Current TV Shows…and Get Them Seen! with Trisha Simmons – 3/7/2015 – $250

LA KidsAct presents a weekend workshop on how to submit an audition tape for film and television projects in Los Angeles. Learn great tricks to use in all of your local auditions, too. (8 – 16)
Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2015, 8:30 am – 11:30 a.m., $250

Casting directors on television shows regularly take self-taped auditions from actors around the country, usually by referral. Many of them ask LA kids’ acting coach, Trisha Simmons for suggestions. Now she is bringing her expertise to Pittsburgh to share with young actors. Here’s what you’ll do in this two-day workshop:

  • Learn To Submit an Audition Reel for a Role Currently Casting!
  • Break Down A Script Quickly With These 5 Steps!
  • Understand How To Bring A Character Off The Page And Onto The Screen!
  • Find A Way To Bring Your Unique Self To The Role So That No One Can Compete With Your Amazing Self!
  • See The Correct Camera Filming Style For Self Tape Auditions!
  • Discover An Interesting Slate That Sets You Apart!
  • Get Your Tape Seen With A Few Fun Marketing Skills!

If the audition tape you create in class is strong enough, Trisha will send it to casting directors of shows currently casting. Even if you’re not interested in living or working in Los Angeles, many of these skills will help you with local auditions, too.

Class is limited to 16 students; a minimum of 12 needed so spread the word.

“This workshop is not an audition for employment or for obtaining a talent agent or talent management. It is strictly for educational purposes. No casting director will be present.”

You’ll receive sides (scene from the script) via email upon registration. Memorize the scene and bring the sides with you to the workshop – see this page to register
