Seeking Bubbly Youth Talent for Disney’s the Little Mermaid Jr.

Calling all Jellysifh, mermaids and sailors!
Ignite Theatre Company will host auditions for its permier production “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” Performances December 3-6.
Auditions will take place July 25 and 26 at The Word at Shaw Church 4265 Shaw Blvd (across from the Botanical Gardens.) Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time.
Times Available:
Saturday, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm
Sunday 2pm and 3pm
Email our director Ms. Libby for an audition time. Hurry! These limited spots are flying away lighting (eel) quick!
Auditioners should:
-Prepare 16-32 bars of music. Please provide sheet music or CD/MP2 with no vocal tracks. (A cappella singing is accepted but not preferred.)
– Come prepared and dressed to learn a short dance combination.
– Bring completed Audition Paperwork (and Scholarship Application* if needed). PLEASE be through and accurate when listing your conflicts!
Callbacks:
Callbacks will take place Sunday July 26th beginning at 4pm. Auditioners asked to return for a callback should be prepared to learn songs and dances from the show. Some may be asked to stay and read sides (scenes). Not being selected for a callback does NOT mean your performer was not cast. It only means we need to see more from certain performers or are considering them for a specific role. Callbacks could go as late as 7pm but many performers will be excused when we have seen enough. We will try to move through callbacks as quickly as possible.
Casting:
Casting Calls will be made no later than Wednesday July 29th. Performers will have 24 hours to accept their role. A full cast list will be posted on our Facebook page no later than August 1st.
Performers who accept their roles will need to have a parent or guardian attend one of the two mandatory Parent’s Meetings (Tuesday August 4th 7pm or Saturday August 8th 10am.) There you will get a calendar, pay the production fee ($75), pick up the parents packet and ask any questions you may have about the process.
