Teatro Martini is looking for FULL and PART TIME performers.
DANCERS
At the he heart of the Teatro Martini are the dancing and singing “Jewels.” They are the best of the best, and they shine on our stage! We are looking for female dancers 5’6 and taller with solid dancing skills and great attitudes. Acting and singing abilities are required because these girls do it all! Bring a headshot and résumé, and be warmed up and ready to dance! (Bring character heals to dance in and wear body flattering attire.) Also, please come prepared to sing 16 measures of your choosing that showcases your voice, either a capella or with CD. Aerial experience is a huge plus!
ACTORS
There are Four comedic actors who add the spice to the teatro Martini. These former con artists have come to the tavern to steal everything they can from everyone they see. While they enjoy stealing, what they love to steal the most is the limelight! Every chance they get, this comics bound onto the stage to steal the glory.
We are looking for men AND women for these parts.
ROB- The leader of this band of misfits. He’s charming, British, and not as smart as he thinks.
GRIFT- The simpleton. Big heart and small brain. Grift doesn’t understand a lot, but he does what he’s told and loves being in front of a crowd.
LOOT- Flamboyant, effeminate, and fabulous. Loot is another thief, but he also has a flair for gentlemen.
JINX- Jinx is the crown jewel of the group. She is awkward, bizarre, and believes that she is much more than she is. Jinx is a crowd favorite, and she not only believes that she is one of the beautiful dancing jewels, she believes she’s the head jewel. She’s blissfully unaware of her awkwardness or the fact that she is about as coordinated a newborn giraffe on roller-skates.
Bring a headshot, résumé, and be prepared for some improv and character work.
SINGERS
We have a Character at Teatro Martini who starts off the show as a quiet little cleaning lady who seems frightened by her own shadow. Suddenly she gets thrown into the spotlight, and her timidness falls away and her inner DIVA comes bursting through. We are looking for a POWERFUL singer with some serious chops!
Bring a Headshot and résumé, and a CD of something you can WOW us with.
Auditions 17th and 18th July, 10am to 1pm.
