Casting call in Charleston South Carolina for Megan Leavey Biopic.
Fantastic Four star Kate Mara will be playing Iraq war hero Megan Leavey in the upcoming film “Megan Leavey.” The film is in production in the Charleston area and looking to cast a lot of military type roles.
Megan Leavey was a marine who was involved in a K9 bomb sniffing unit. Megan and her dog Rex formed a tight relationship and served 2 tours in Iraq. After many missions, the 2 were wounded and Leavey returned home without her dog Rex who was kept on active duty in Iraq following her discharge. Megan spent the next 5 years waiting to adopt the dog who was later scheduled to be euthenized after his tour. Leavey fought to save her dog and ultimately adopted him. Her fight to reunite with her partner is now being made into a movie.
Gabriele Cowperthwaite, the acclaimed director of the Blackfish documentary is set to direct the biopic which begins filming this month in South Carolina. Kate Mara played Sue Storm in “The Fantastic Four” and is also in Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” and the recently wrapped sci-fi film “Morgan.”

Also, the casting directors are in need of some butt kicking ladies to fill a few recurring extras roles:
Charleston, SC: In need of butt-kicking females, ages 18-28, who are sizes 0-4 and can make most of the dates listed below. Along with the dates are skills that the scenes may require, so please read each description of action and let me know if you would/would not feel comfortable.
Fitting dates are now, Thur Oct 8th, Friday Oct 9th, Mon Oct 12th, and Tue Oct 13th (you will have to make one of these dates).
WED OCT 14th: 5 Females to play recruits celebrating their graduation.
THUR OCT 15th: Females, some of who are comfortable doing push-ups. Others who are comfortable attempting push-ups (even if you’re not great at them that is okay because this will be one of the first time recruits are doing push-ups.)
FRI OCT 16th: Females who are comfortable being in wet clothes (it will look like you’ve just gotten out of a pool) those comfortable with this will get a $25.00 bump.
SUN OCT 18th: Graduation Scene, ALL SUBMITTING MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS DATE.
MON OCT 19th: Females who are comfortable with push-ups (or attempting them,) Jogging, and marching. We would love if those submitting had experience with military training or extreme fitness.
***Some women may be selected to wear a gas mask for one scene this day. If you are claustrophobic, we ask that you not submit for this day or opt out of this scene). Those selected will receive a $15.00 bump.
