Feature Film “TRI” About Cancer Survivors and the Luray Triathlon Holding Casting Call in DC

A Feature film about the Luray and Nations Triathlons is now in production in DC and looking to cast some REAL athletes as well as general extras.

DC area athletes are needed for a future film about the Luray Triathalon and the athletes competing in it. Casting director Kimberly Skyrme is seeking experienced cyclists, runners and swimmers for scenes that will be filming early next week. Also, the film is looking for general extras to play spectators at the event. If you live in the area and have always wanted to be in a movie…. here is a great chance to do so. There is also a scene that films this weekend in the DC area that is casting for volunteer extras.

The project is being produced by Red Zeppelin Productions and has been filming this summer in Washington DC and areas of VA.

A recent article on the Luray website described “TRI” as  a feature length movie about cancer survivors, people affected by cancer and caregivers who are taking on the challenge of competing in their first triathlon. This will be the first scripted narrative based on triathlon, and will be a comedy centered on training for local races including the Luray Triathlons and the Nations Triathlon.
