Gotham City is riddled with corruption and Gordon is determined to make a dent in the cities crime rate. Along with his partner, Detective Harvey Bullock, the two take on the criminals and try to solve the high-profile case, the murder of billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne. Through their investigation, he becomes friends with the orphaned Bruce Wayne. Season 2 of the show is called ‘Rise of the Villains’ and promises to really bring on the evil.
In a press piece, a spokesperson for the show commented “The stakes are higher than ever as Gotham explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze. ”
