The ABC series “American Crime” is coming back to ABC for Season 2 and is currently filming in the Austin area.
The show’s casting directors are seeking to cast musicians or a band for a scene filming shortly. Brock Allen Casting is looking for a rapper, a drummer, horn players and a guitarist to play a high school pep band. The CD’s would prefer to find a band that already performs together but will consider individual musicians. The band members need to be able to pass for high school ages and should be between 18 and 25 years of age. “American Crime” films in the Austin area and talent applying must be local to the area.
American Crime is an anthology crime drama which premiered this last spring on ABC. The show was created by John Ridley and takes on the heavy topic of racial tension in America and gender politics. Season 1 focused on a racially charged murder and the trial that followed. In May, ABC announced that the show will be renewed for a second season to premier mid-season in 2016. According to the show’s Wiki page, Season 2 of the show will focus on a new story with a new set of characters. Actors that appeared in season 1 will be returning for season 2 but will play an entire new set of characters in the new story. The show stars Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton. Both will be returning for season 2 as are Regina King, Elvis Nolasco, Richard Cabral, and Lili Taylor. “American Crime” Season 1 received a good amount of critical acclaim including ten Primetime Emmy nominations.

It’s preferable if you are in a music group or ensemble that already performs and plays together.
