Auditions call for A Midsummer Night’s Dream By: William Shakespeare!

Auditions will be taking place Wednesday the 16th between 10:20am-12:00pm, with callbacks and a second round of auditions Thursday the 17th from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Seattle Central Library (1000 Fourth Ave. Seattle, WA 98148), in the Kreielsheimer Foundation Performance Arts Room, located at book spiral 8.

If you find that you are unavailable to make any of the audition times, but are still interested in the production I will also be holding Skype interviews.

Rehearsal time and place will be taking place in the greater Seattle area. You will be given exact times and location when cast.

Have a 90 second comedic Shakespearean monologue prepared for auditions.

As we are a new company, this show will very much be a creative process, with no monetary compensation but should prove to be a great deal of fun, and a wonderful experience.

Puck- Gender Neutral 20-30 – A mischievous fairy, servant of Oberon.

Oberon – Male 20-30 – King of the fairies, husband of Titania.

Demetrius – Male 20-25 – A young man of Athens, in love with Hermia and later Helena.

Egeus – Male 20-30 – Hermia’s father.

Theseus – Male 20-30 – The Duke of Athens, engaged to Hippolyta.

Bottom/Pyramus – Male 20-30- The weaver. Member of a traveling theatre troupe. Later turned into an ass by Puck.

Peter Quince/Prologue – Gender Neutral 20-30 – Member of the traveling theatre troupe.

Francis Flute/Thisbe – Male 20-30 – member of the traveling theatre troupe.

Robin Starveling/Moonshine -Gender Neutral 20-30- member of the traveling theatre troupe.

Tom Snout/ Peaseblossom/Wall -Gender Neutral 20-25- member of the traveling theatre troupe; fairie

Snug/Lion -Gender Neutral 20-30- member of the traveling theatre troupe

Philostrate/Cobweb – Gender Neutral 20-30- attendant of the duke; fairie
