Spike Lee has begun filming his latest movie “Chiraq” in Chicago.
The project is looking to cast men and women ages 17 to 40 with a military look for the production. Extras casting directors at 4 Star Casting are seeking to hire non-union background actors of all ethnicities for a multiple day booking. Extras will be playing National Guard troops and Chicago residents interested may follow the below instructions to submit their photos and contact information to the casting directors.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Spike Lee is now filming a movie about the violence in Chicago. ” Chiraq” will be exploring “black-on-black violence,” in the cit’s South Side. A recent Chicago Tribune article about the film listed the cast members which include Kanye West, Jeremy Piven, Samuel L. Jackson and hip-hop artist Common. The title, “Chiraq” and refers to a time (2003–2011) when the murder rate in Chicago was higher than the casualty count in the Iraq war… leaving more Americans dead in the city than in the war zone.
Please note that you must be local to the Chicago area in order to be considered.
