Please request an audition by contacting Frances Limoncelli, Magik’s Managing Artistic Director, at flimoncelli@magiktheatre.org. You will be given a time to arrive for your audition. Most auditions will be 10 minutes, but you may be asked to stay as long as an hour.
Magik on the Road is casting one female actor for local and regional bookings beginning immediately. Actors should be comfortable performing for children in various settings such as schools, daycares, festivals, museums, birthday parties, etc. Some shows require a singing with a little harmony. Tour actors are required to help load, transport, set up, and breakdown show sets and props, run show sound, and help maintain show costumes. Most shows are local, but occasional overnight travel is required. Compensation is a flat fee paid per performance. Daytime availability a must. Magik on the Road is a tight knit group of fun-loving and energetic artists who love kids. We’re looking for someone who will be a great fit with this awesome, positivity-filled group.
To Prepare: please be prepared read sides from the show. Sides will be provided at the audition. Also, you will be asked to sing a short a capella song which could be as simple as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” or “Happy Birthday”. Bring a picture and resume if available.
