L A Based Music Ensemble needs Lead singers for Disneyland performances

Los Angeles/Orange County World Music Ensemble Auditioning for Lead Singers.
Mostly Kosher (www.mostlykosher.com), a Los Angeles based indie-global-ensemble, is holding auditions for talented and experienced lead singers/entertainers for a two month contract. Rehearsals begin in late September into October and performances begin November 8th to January 8th. Performances will be in the Disneyland parks and may possibly lead to additional gigs around the Los Angeles area. Performances and rehearsals are paid at competitive rates.
We are casting a lead singer to work the 2016 holiday season (possibly including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day). Performances rotate throughout a span of a two month period depending on availability. Performance days would be 6 half hour shows from approximately 11am-7:30pm at the Disneyland Parks.
Mostly Kosher, a Los Angeles based indie-global-collective, radically reconstructs Judaic and American cultural musical roots. Through ravenous post-klezmer beats and arresting Yiddish

heritage music and yet raze it to the ground. Mostly Kosher has rallied an international legion of fans and is on a trajectory to bring their rhythmic hullabaloo to all of the streaming soundwaves
across the planet. Mostly Kosher is a fixture at renowned Los Angeles stages such as the John Anson Ford Theater and Skirball Center, while most recently gracing the stage of the Dorothy
Chandler Pavilion for a live television broadcast to over half a million viewers. Their self-titled debut album has won international acclaim through recognition by World Music Network,
Songlines Magazine, and BBC radio. Mostly Kosher’s first track, Ikh Hob Dikh Tsufil Lib (I Love You Much Too Much), was recognized as one of World Music Network’s Top 6 Songs of 2014.
Requirements:
– Ability to sing diverse musical styles (classical, musical theater, jazz, rock etc)
– Must have strong musical and rhythmic sensibility (sight reading is a PLUS)
– Excellent stage presence with high energy
– Collaborative spirit
– Dependability and availability
– Baritone or Mezzo Soprano preferred
– Theater or acting skills are a STRONG PLUS
– Jewish or strong familiarity with Jewish culture and languages (Hebrew, Yiddish, and
Ladino) is a PLUS
– Instrumentalists are a PLUS, please bring instrument to audition.
– Band leading skills are a PLUS
Bring copy of headshot, copy of résumé, a prepared piece to perform (and your instrument if you play).
Please be prepared to be interviewed, provide references, possibly sight read and perform a piece from the band’s repertoire.
