The casting call is out for the hottest beauty competition show on TV, “American Beauty Star”!
Hair, Makeup, and Beauty Experts…here is your chance to show off your skill set in a challenge-based reality competition series, on a Major Television Network. This celebrity-hosted show is giving 12 aspiring Beauty Stars the chance to compete in a series of challenges to show off their hair, makeup, and beauty talents. Think ‘Project Runway’ but for hair and makeup.
We are seeking male and female beauty experts ranging from: DIY Youtube and Instagram stars, to beauty professionals with celebrity clientele, to salon owners who are stars in their hometown. Applicants must be licensed professionals. One dominant skill is acceptable, but being extremely well-rounded is a major plus. You must be a leader with a vision who can manage a team of three to complete a series of beauty challenges without getting yourself and your team eliminated. American Beauty Star is only looking for the best of the best, as the selected, highly competitive individuals must bring new, outside the box techniques that will push hair and makeup boundaries to new heights every week.
The show will bring in different celebrities as well as beauty and fashion icons to judge, mentor, and host weekly competitions. For the American Beauty Star winners, high-level prizes are awarded weekly, such as having your work featured in major beauty publications, and the season finale winner is awarded a combination of products, trips, high-level exposure, and cash prizes.

Please submit a portfolio providing clear samples of your work, any print or video work, and a two-minute video explaining who you are, your background, and what your dreams and aspirations are in the beauty industry. Also, let us know why YOU would make a great contestant on our show!
The minimum age to apply for the show is 18. The deadline for accepting applications is November 30th, 2016. If you are chosen, we will have you come down for an in-person, invite only casting session, early December. Must be available for filming February through March.
