Swing (Music Video w/ Apocalyptic Setting)

Basically, I need to create a 2 minute “interview-like” scene with a character who has lived through the time period where my film takes place.
In short, a plague wiped out a lot of people on earth…factions were formed by survivors. The character for this role is basically going to be talking about how it was like coming up in these conditions.
I want the character to be a mountainous folk, with a raspy rough neck accent.
