Location: Bound Brook, NJ
The United Methodist Church of Bound Brook is presenting a production of the musical “1776” to be staged in March from the 17th to the 19th. At this time, we will be holding auditions on October 7 & 8.
In the spirit of “Hamilton,” our Continental Congress will represent today’s America, including being co-ed, so we would love to have anyone interested in performing (or working behind the scenes) come out.
For this production, everyone associated with the play are volunteers. It is our hope that this effort can grow into an ensemble that can produce several plays and musicals a year to serve the needs of those who love theatre in this part of New Jersey, but do not always have the time, money, and desire to travel into the city.
Please send a note of introduction, your experience, head shot (if you have one) and put “1776” in the subject line. This is open to theatre veterans, novices, and don’t be afraid if you aren’t the best singer in the world. We will send you a time for your audition. Be prepared to recite a short monologue of your choice and sing 8 bars of music “A cappella.”
