Open call auditions for Area Stage Company’s production of Fame The Musical and Rent. Area Stage is looking for talented and enthusiastic performers to form the cast of these two musicals.
Anyone interested in auditioning for either production must come prepared with a one minute monologue and 16 bars of music.
RENT
Auditions for Rent will take place at the theatre on March 6th at 5:00 p.m. Accompanist on side. The show will run from June 2nd- June 5th. Live Orchestra.
Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and liv- ing for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Jonathan Larson’s Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
