Festival of the Kid by The 18 Winners of the 2016 Neighborhood Play Contest directed by various guest artists from the professional theatre community.
Stage West invites students aged 12-20 to audition for the Festival of the Kid on Saturday February 25 from 10am-1pm or February 26 from 12pm-3pm. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the 18 winning scripts from the Neighborhood Play Contest. Those cast will only be called for rehearsal when their play is being rehearsed. This is a wonderful experience for young performers both highly familiar and new to theatre.
Rehearsals: Various call times during 10am-5pm on March 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 with technical rehearsals on May 6 and 7.
Performances: Evenings of May 8, 9, 10.
REQUIREMENTS: Please make audition appointments through Andrea Gonzales: education@stagewest.org or 817-338-1777. Parents and Students will be asked to provide a full conflict schedule and commit to the rehearsal process from beginning to end. Advance notice of conflicts will be taken into consideration and will not necessarily prevent participation.
