Casting call for Feature Film “First Man”
The Neil Armstrong story is being made into a feature film. The movie has some big names attached including Academy Award winning director Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash). “First Man” is a biographical drama about the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong. The movie is based on the authorized biography “First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong” by James Hansen.
Ryan Gosling takes the starring role as Neil Armstrong. Gosling’s latest movie “Blade Runner” is currently running in theaters. “First Man” is now in production in the Atlanta area beginning production and now casting quite a few roles. The roles up for grabs are a number of various background roles that are looking for area locals that can put on a great 60’s look. This is a period film and talent applying for the roles needs to have a natureal look. The movie is currently filming and the roles listed below work in and around the Atlanta area this month and next month.
According to the movies IMDB page – “First Man” is a Biopic on the life of the legendary American Astronaut Neil Armstrong from 1961-1969, on his journey to becoming the first human to walk the moon. Exploring the sacrifices and costs on the Nation and Neil himself, during one of the most dangerous missions in the history of space travel. Also according to IMDB the movie is written by James R. Hansen (book), Nicole Perlman (screenplay) and will also star Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler with Corey Stoll playing Buzz Aldrin.
