Hugh Jackman’s new film “The Greatest Showman on Earth” is now casting extras in NYC
Jackman plays showman and circus founder P.T. Barnum, the man behind what he called the greatest show on Earth, the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. “The Greatest Showman on Earth” is an original musical inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum and the travelling circus that he built in 1881.
Zac Efron, Zendaya and Michelle Williams are also starring in the The 20th Century FOX movie. Casting directors with Telsey and Company are now accepting submissions from NYC locals who would like to work as paid movie extras in scenes filming later this month. This is a period piece set in the late 1800’s and casting directors are seeking background actors who do not have modern looks.

GWC is seeking Non-Union Caucasian Men & women to portray Wealthy Upscale Formal Concert Attendees for work on the new feature musical film THE GREATEST SHOWMAN!
This note applies to men only. This spot is cast to fit. You should be able to fit into a 42 to a 46 jacket. If you do not fit into one these sizes please note if you have your own Tux with tails. Please see wardrobe notes below.
Fitting date Thursday 1/12 in Brooklyn
Works 1/19, 1/23, AND 1/24 (you must have full day/night availability for all 3 dates) in the NYC area
Non-Union rate: $154/12hrs
The look of the film is period 1800s with a contemporary stylish and colorful twist! The wardrobe does not have to be period appropriate but should not look overly modern.
Wardrobe:
MEN: full tuxedo with tails and white bow tie OR white formal dress shirt with wing collar, black dress shoes, and white bow tie.
WOMEN- evening gowns with classic silhouettes, no spaghetti straps or strapless, no asymmetrical necklines or sleeves, classic evening pumps (2-3″ heel is best), nude/white/off-white pantyhose, nude bra (strapless is great!), any shaping undergarments.
All men must be clean shaven.
No allergies to wool.
Must be ok working around atmospheric smoke.
No visible piercings or tattoos or overly modern haircuts.
Women may be fit in corsets
