TF Productions is seeking nonunion, dramatic actors for a production of The Ladies Car in February 2018 at the Henry County Performing Arts Center. TF Productions strives to provide a creative outlet for artistic development and produce quality entertainment which educates and stimulates our audience.
The Ladies Car depicts the journey of a resilient young school teacher (Ida B. Wells) fighting a lone battle for equality in the segregated south, once she is thrown off a Memphis train. Ida uses her wits and tenacity to pursue justice and vengeance against the railroad giant all while struggling to please her family, friends and explore love, and her life’s purpose.
The Ladies Car was written by Tiana L. Ferrell, who is a descendant of Ida B. Wells.
