Weep for Joy is a touching, often humorous portrayal of how life brings two people together whose worlds were at one time far, far apart.
C S LEWIS (who was in his late 50’s) was a tutor at Oxford University, a celebrated writer and a confirmed bachelor. JOY GRESHAM (who was in her mid 40’s) was an American divorcee whose ex husband had passed her over in favor of a new mistress. She had read Lewis’ books and met the famous author on a visit to England. Their friendship eventually blossomed into love. They married only to find that together they must face the trauma of dealing with terminal cancer.
Weekend performances are scheduled between Feb and May of 2019.
Cleveland (Feb 1,2 & 3) Bakersfield, CA (Mar ! & 2)
Indianapolis (TBA) and Spokane (TBA).
