Mel is a single mother who seeks deliverance from financial destitution. She splits her time selling produce on the streets and working as an intern on a military base. There she befriends an American who shows promise. Charles is a military police officer who makes bad guys pay. The more involved he is with Mel, the more of her past he uncovers. His fervor for justice blinds his judgment and lands him in prison.
