Casting Notice
Extras needed for American Ballet Theatre’s La Bayadere at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Acting/Stage experience is helpful for all roles, but not necessary.
4 MALE TIGERMEN/CANOPY MEN
-Very slender build, 5′-10″ – 6′-0″
-Age 16-25
12 MALE PRIESTS
-Average build, 5′-10″ – 6′-2″
-Age 18 & older
-Performers of South Asian descent (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives) preferred
-No facial hair preferred
2 WOMEN
-Must be dancer type, slender build
-Age 16-20
6 GOLDMEN
-Average Build, 5′-10″ – 6′-2″
-Age 18 & older
4 OSTRICH MEN
-Slender Build, 5′-10″ – 6′-2″
-Age 18 & older
Auditions will take place at The Music Center on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 6:00-9:00pm. Tentative rehearsal/performance schedule is below – subject to change. Anyone age 16-17 MUST bring a valid work permit to the audition to be considered for casting. Small stipend will be provided for those cast in the production. Please wear comfortable clothing to the audition and all rehearsals
