Beatnik is an 8-part student series. It follows a group of teenagers who run away to go and tour Georgia with their band.
Casting LEAD and SUPPORTING roles.
SEAN – age 14-17, male or female. Caucasian. Smart and sweet, MUST BE ABLE TO PLAY GUITAR.
ALEX – age 14-17, male. African-American. Harsh but protective. MUST BE ABLE TO PLAY PIANO.
MARLO – age 14-17, female. Any ethnicity. Sweet, follows band around. Is a photographer (no real skills required).
The series will be filmed in and around Dunwoody (July, 2019) as a very collaborative effort. Very small crew, shot over a month. Will be involved in the pre-production process.
