As One: 150th Sesquicentennial Golden Spike Celebration

The Golden Spike 150th Sesquicentennial Celebration will be holding open auditions for an original production of “As One” (working title) on Saturday March 23rd from 9:30am-12:30pm. (callbacks March 25) at the Utah Children’s Theater; 3605 State St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115.

The musical is a half hour production representing the people and events leading up to the laying of the Golden Spike in 1869. We will be recorded for television broadcast and performing live for VIP’s on site at promontory summit on May 10th (daytime performance) to commemorate the celebration. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a celebration of this historic moment in American History.

We are looking for ethnically appropriate kid, teenage and adult singers, actors and dancers. All roles are paid. We are unable to offer equity contracts. Some roles have already been cast.
The show will be performed live on site at Promontory Summit at the Golden Spike celebration on May 10th. Written and directed by Jennifer Parker Hohl, with original music by Stephen Nelson and Anji Mickelson. Choreography by Makenna Hague

For auditions: Please bring headshot and resume. Please arrive prepared to sing; bring sheet music for 16 measures of a broadway musical, an accompanist will be provided. Audition forms will be provided at auditions.
For kids aged 8-12 years old, please arrive between 9:00am-10:00am
For Teens and Adults please arrive between 10:30am-12:00pm

Acting, singing and dancing callbacks will be held from 6:30pm-9pm, March 25th by invitation only. Please arrive prepared to sing and move. Sides/music will be provided for you if invited to callbacks.
