Casting ” ‘Twenty ” Student produced short film.

Synopsis:
When a tragic shooting turns the worlds of 6 teenage friends upside down, they learn the beauty and complexity of friendship.

Notes:
“Yanni” has already been cast.

You just have to look like the age ranges shown and not necessarily be in those age ranges

All roles except for “Police Officer” are intended for people of color i.e. African American, Latina/o, mixed- ethnically ambiguous, Southeast Asian, etc.

Characters:
Drew:
Age: 16-18
Yanni’s counterpart. They’re not officially together but everyone knows they’re for each other. He’s laid back and always someone to lean on. He’s sensitive and a little irrational

Rina:
Age:16-18
The mom friend of the group. She takes care of everyone and is the glue to their dynamic. Best friend to Nessa

Fatz:
Age:16-18
The comedic relief of the group who doesn’t take anything too serious. However, he is very honest with his friends. Is very close to Yanni platonically.

Nessa:
Age:16-18
A shy girl who is the calmest of the group. Very sweet. Lives in a richer place than the others which is. She is the voice of reason and very close to Carina.

Ton:
Age:16-18
Big personality, always down for a good time. He rally’s the group together and usually makes all the plans. Best friends with Drew. Always has a healthy pick of girls

LaLa:

Age:8-12
Yanni’s smart and inquisitive little sister.

Juan:
1 scene
Age:6-9
Yanni’s shy, sweet and adorable little brother

Eric:
1 scene
Age:30-45
Supporting Role
Fatz’ attractive, sensitive father.

Monica:
1 scene
Age:25-33
Eric’s abusive, entitled but attractive girlfriend.

Ton’s fling
1 scene
Age: 16-19
No lines, 1 scene but extremely important to set the stasis of the film.

Police Officer
1 scene
Age:30-40
The police officer who kills Trey. The actor will ad-lib his lines

Trey
1 scene
Age 12-19
1 scene, but it is the most important scene in the film. The actor will ad-lib his lines
