Logline: Alex, a burned-out American chef travels to Italy and rediscovers his passion for food and life.

CHARLIE. Female, 30s to 40s +/-, Caucasian, Brunette/blonde.

Charlie, a culinary treasure-hunter, and the proprietor of Disposizioni de Felicita (Happiness Provisions). An American-born Italian-American residing in Italy. Basic Conversational Italian is not required, but helpful.

BEN. Male, 55s to 65s +/-, any ethnicity.
Chef Ben, is in his mid-60s, and a contented restaurant proprietor in southern California. Since falling in love with an Italian and the Italian life, Ben has remained the owner and executive chef since Alex, his head chef and protoge’s, departure. Ben and Alex remained close following Alex’s exit, and as Alex has achieved the markers of success he laid out for himself, and is faced with a lack of fulfillment, he finds himself gravitating more towards Ben and redefining what success is – in both the kitchen and life.

STEFANO. Male, 30s to 40s +/-, Italian.
Stefano is a Commis Chef (Junior Chef still in training) for his father’s 2 Michelin Starred restaurant on the Amalfi Coast. Stefano is a former love interest of Charlie’s, his initial intrigue for this American girl was fueled by what he was chasing outside of the kitchen and away from Italy, only to find her heart was in the kitchen and in Italy. In spite of their different paths, he continues to pursue her. Basic Conversational Italian is not required, but helpful.

Maggie is Alex’s manager and a direct report to the board of directors for Alex’s very successful food services empire. Maggie is a hard-working, driven professional who knows what it takes to be financially successful.

TUSCAN VILLAGE VICE-MAYOR. Male or Female, 40s to 50s +/-, Italian.
The Mayor plays a key role with several interactions with Alex and his business interests in the village.

Head Chef and Owner of the 2 Michelin Starred restaurant on the Amalfi Coast. Exhibits warmth in his delivery, and his love for food and serving people is evident in everything he does.

Crew Positions (Field):

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY. This primary role requires immense people skills, while providing an overarching flow for the series’ visual elements. Duties include developing the series visual style in harmony with the executive team. Reports to the Director.

MAKE UP/HAIR. This key role leads and operates the makeup department for the production and is responsible for planning makeup designs for the leading and supporting cast, including continuity requirements. Reports to Production Set Design.

AUDIO MIXER (LOCATION AUDIO). This key role is responsible for setting and balancing audio levels during principal photography and will require frequent mixing of multiple mics simultaneously and adjusting levels with shots. Reports to the Director.

GAFFER/GRIP. This key role is responsible for the deliverables of electricity and production lighting along with required labor. The Gaffer is responsible for set and personnel safety. Reports to the Director.
