Film summary:
Set in Ireland in the 1800s, this short film tells the story of two 17-year-old girls in love. The social expectations are rigid, and loving another woman is out of the question.
As children, the two girls dreamed about being pirates – who in their eyes live a free and exciting life that they are doomed to never have. Now they are older, they are forced to confront the reality of their situation when Aine’s boyfriend proposes.
