Casting short film “Stupid People”, a story between a young pair with an odd relationship, questioning why they are together. Are they friends? Dating? We will be following the 2 throughout their “free” day and observe their relationship. Then we’ll find out why they are together in the first place.
Application:

Roles (Leads): Ages 15-17
Yuna is a young girl in high school bond to Tong by something. She and him are opposites he is pessimistic and she is positive.
Ethnicity: Southeast Asian / Pacific Islander

Tong is an easily annoyed character and irritable towards people. He has outrageous claims and stands by them. He speaks a different language when he is with his companion Yuna

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations:
Table read online via Zoom when first meeting. (discuss costuming, availability, etc.) Start shooting during the summer around June at Cypress Park and Borchard Park. (Shot during day and slowly into the darker evenings). Shoot in front of a coffee store then the streets. Last place to shoot will be in and in front of a house in Dos Vientos.
Compensation:
Non-paying. If you want to be an actor this will be great for applications, resumes, etc. You will also be credited in this short film. If you have any questions please email and we’ll get back to you.
