Hangin’ In the Classroom, Spring 2022

Casting “Hangin’ in the Classroom, Spring 2022,” a series of educational video lessons that demonstrate techniques used to teach children and adolescents social skills. These videos will be used by speech and language pathologists to help children who are learning social skills. The videos will be used as part of the software available at www.EverydaySpeech.com.
Roles:
School Girl, Grade 4-5 // Age range: 9 – 11
This is a scripted role. Talent must be able to display a range of emotions; some scenes will involve playing a confident person, other scenes will involve feeling awkward and uncomfortable with an everyday conversation. Looking for talent to showcase many abilities!
We wish to represent children of all abilities including but not limited to hearing aids, cochlear implants, Down syndrome, or vision impairment.

Compensation and Contract Info:
Pays $50/hr. Hours on set may vary depending on the role and will be determined once casting and schedules are finalized. Seeking local talent (or ability to work as local talent) only. Talent will be required to cover any travel to/from the set. Light snacks/”crafty” will be provided on set. Talent (and one guardian) will be required to get COVID tested prior to shooting. Production will cover any additional costs incurred with testing. Rights: Full rights, in perpetuity, for Everyday Speech use.
For Consideration:
Talent must submit a headshot along with location and age range. Selected talent will participate in a Zoom audition. Talent must be local to MA (or able to work as a local). Talent may or may not be requested for one day or multiple dates within these timeframes. Filming will take place during week day mornings / afternoons, so please ensure talent will not have any school conflicts before applying.
Selected talent will be given sides to memorize ahead of the audition.
