Auditions in White Rock, BC, Canada for “Sorry, Wrong Number”

Sorry, Wrong Number

Location: White Rock, BC

Type: General Performers

Peninsula Productions is casting for Mrs. Stevenson (LEAD ROLE) in their production of Sorry, Wrong Number.

Playable age range: Female – Late twenties to 50

Mrs. Stevenson is fearful, distressed, angry, very impatient and not afraid to let anyone know exactly what she is thinking. She is of financial wealth, and lets people know. She is currently bedridden, and becomes increasingly frantic as the story develops.

Sorry, Wrong Number was originally a radio play, which we will be staging for a live audience. Audiences will see the inner workings of a radio station, as the play is being performed. While the play is short, running somewhere between 30 – 40 minutes, the vocal demand on the actor is great. She needs to be able to carry the bulk of the show and play within these frantic emotional states over the course of multiple performances. The original world within which the play exists is one of campy nature, but the fun of the play truly comes through with a centered, grounded performance from its lead.

Needed availability will be two rehearsals per week, weekday evenings starting on Thursday, April 21st.

Changes to our rehearsal schedule can and may be made as the process moves towards opening, depending on need. Opening date May 27th for four performances. Honorarium.

Payment: Paid
