Casting Call for extras in Pittsburgh.
The new season of the Paramount+ TV series “The Mayor of Kingstown” is now in production in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and casting directors for the Paramount+ project have released an open casting call for Pittsburgh area residents who would like a shot at working on set as a paid background actor, photo double or stand in.
The show will be filming in Pittsburgh for some months and will only be considering Pittsburgh area residents for the roles as paid extras as no travel expenses are being paid.
No experience is necessary to become an extra. Please see the casting notice on this page as well as the casting flyer for the show.
The show, “Mayor of Kingstown” premiered last year and the network announced shortly after the finale of the first season that the show has been ordered for season 2. The show focuses on the modern issue of incarceration as a business and focuses on a town where corruption and the politics of it all reign supreme with justice sometimes being a secondary issue.
About the show:
A crime drama about an important contemporary issue, America’s prison system, “Mayor of Kingstown” follows the McLusky family in Kingstown, Mich., where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. The family of power brokers between police, criminals, inmates, prison guards and politicians tackle themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality. The crime thriller series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither. The cast includes Jeremy Renner, Dianne Wiest, Kyle Chandler and Derek Webster.

There will be covid testing provided by the production – you will be compensated for testing if we test you on a non-work day.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Work 10-14 hour days, sometimes shorter… You will need FULL DAY AVAILABILITY on days you are selected to work. If you cannot clear your day to work, then please do not commit to working. We mostly work Monday – Friday. Kids will only work within the hours permitted by the State Labor Laws.
RATE: $175/12 HOURS (time and a half after 12)
We cover your covid tests, and pay you to show up to them.
