Fargo is now filming in Canada. The show is filming the newest season, which is season 5.
In the past, Fargo has filmed in various location, but the newest season of Fargo, is now in production in the Calgary area of Canada. In the past, the show filmed the majority of the scenes in Canada and also shot a little bit in the US, where the stories actually take place. The show focuses is an anthology series, which means that the characters and stories change every season. Other popular shows, such as American Horror Story, follow the same format. Fargo is an black comedy and was created and written by Noah Hawley. The show airs on the FX Network and is available on Hulu.
Fargo, the show was based on the Coen Siblings, 1996 film of the same name in which criminals, kept doing the wrong thing. Much of the show is set in smaller towns and the stories are usually set somewhere in the northern Midwest. All the stories are crime related. Quite a few of the seasons were set in Minnesota, even though they filmed in Canada with one previous season being set in Kansas City, Missouri. One thing I can say for sure, is that the production loves the snow with much of the anthology series being set in the winter with a white backdrop of feet of snow, same as the original Coen Siblings movie. The original movie starred Billy Bob Thornton.
Since Fargo is an anthology, the cast changes season to season, with a bit of overlap. The last season of Fargo starred Chris Rock, Jessie Buckley, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, and Jack Huston. Back in February of 2022, the show’s producers announced that the series would be coming back for a fifth season and that Fargo season 5 will star Juno Temple, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Joe Keery, Lamorne Morris, and Richa Moorjani.

Filming will take place in Calgary and areas surrounding Calgary until April 2023. The show actually began production in the area just a few weeks back.
They are looking for men, women and children 6 to 90 years-old of all ethnicities.
