Casting camera tests for “Dawn,” a thesis student fantasy film about an environmentalist who begins a journey of self-discovery and transformation after waking up to find a small plant growing out of her finger.
All Talent – please be local to Orange County/Costa mesa, CA area.

Character descriptions:
Dawn- lead
(16), curly-haired, environmentalist with skin rich as soil.
Ethnicity: Black / African Descent
Carrie – supporting
(40s), Dawn’s mother, is concerned, but permissive.

Dr. Mada -supporting
(Late 30s), arrogant, full of himself.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Additional: Production states: “We are looking to offer long-term casting with pay if the actor wishes to continue with the project which will shoot the entire film in June 2024. However, for these early camera tests, we are testing for FX makeup on a college campus and are shooting one scene and the different stages of makeup. Copy and credit are offered but we would like to maintain the cast through crowdfunding and production shoot in June 2024.”
