Walt Disney Studios is holding open auditions for the lead role in the upcoming Disney movie Alexander (And the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day)
The casting directors for the Disney Studios project are seeking to fill the lead role of Alexander. No acting experience is required and casting directors are taking online submissions for the role.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is based on the children’s book of the same name that was written by Judith Viorst and illustrated by Ray Cruz. The book was first published in 1972 and Disney has based a Disney movie on it prior.
There is also another Disney movie that is currently casting – Honolulu, Hawaii Auditions for Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” Live Action Movie – Kids 6 to 9 Years old
In the story, Alexander narrates him having a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day.
From the moment Alexander woke up, he noticed the bubble gum that was in his mouth when he fell asleep had now gotten stuck in his hair. Then, when he got out of bed, he tripped on his skateboard. In the bathroom, he accidentally dropped his favorite sweater into the sink while the water was on. His brothers, Anthony and Nick, find prizes in their breakfast cereal boxes, whereas Alexander does not.
Role: Alexander Garcia.
A male Mexican American that is around 11 years of age. The character is too smart for his own good, or anybody else’s good. Alexander is personable, charmingly neurotic and very likable.
