Open Auditions for “Lilo & Stitch” Disney Movie in Hawaii

Disney talent search in Hawaii for kids.

Casting directors have announced another Disney open audition for the “Lilo & Stitch” movie that is currently filming in Hawaii.

Disney is in production of the live action version of the Disney Channel popular program “Lilo and Stitch.” The new Disney project is in the form of a feature length movie that is being produced for the company’s streaming network and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios and will be released on their Disney+ network.

There have been multiple roles that the production had been trying to fill over the winter months.  Seems that there may be another role to fill.  The Disney role is that of a character named “Mertle” who is described as a 7 to 8 year old girl.  “Mertle’s” character is also described as having wild red hair with an attitude that is much to snobby for her young age of 8.  “Mertle” also is a character that picks on poor Lilo.

The “Lilo & Stitch” movie is filming in the state of Hawaii and the casting directors are only considering child actors who currently live in Hawaii.

About the film:

The Disney movie revolves around a young Hawaiian girl named Lilo who after a close encounter finds what she believes in an ugly and quite odd dog which she names Stitch.    Anyway, her new pet “dog” ends up being a genetic experiment by an alien race and simply crash landed on earth…where she finds her new and very hard to handle pet. Of course, that new pet dog doesn’t actually look or act like a dog but she does go on and convince her community that he is simply ugly.

Lilo’s attention and love of her new adopted “pet” help open up Stitches heart and the two develop an inseparable bond.
