We still have roles available for our upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into The Woods” in concert!
Seeking experienced adult (18+), non-union, singers & actors of all ages, types, ethnicities and gender identities, to perform alongside student campers, ages 13-17. We also have some
space available for kids (ages 13-17) in our tuition based camp! DM me for more details!
Auditions will be held THIS TUESDAY EVENING 6/20/23 from 5-8pm at The Ottsville Center, 250 Durham Road, Ottsville, PA.
Rehearsals will be held during the day, approximately Monday, June 26, 2023 thru Friday July 21, 2023 (weekends free!), with 2 evening performances at 7:30pm on Thursday July 20 and Friday July 21. (Note: Dates have been changed! Adult performers will not be called for all rehearsals and no kids or adults will be called the entire week of July 4th).
Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. Bring a headshot or recent photo, resume and piano/vocal sheet music in the correct key you will be singing. (Note: PLEASE make sure your music has chord symbols for our accompanist!)

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Mysterious Man: Male, Vocal range top: Eb4, Vocal range bottom: G2 A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler… with a secret. He is a good-natured protector and observer. Must be a physical actor, who can move.
Cinderella: Female, Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: G3. A young, earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters.
Jack: Male, Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: B2. The feckless giant killer who is ‘almost a man.’ He is adventurous, naive, energetic, and bright-eyed.
Jack’s Mother: Female, Vocal range top: Gb5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. Browbeating and weary, Jack’s protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed.
The Baker: Male, Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: Ab2. A harried and insecure baker who is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is willing to do anything to ensure her happiness but refuses to let others fight his battles.
The Baker’s Wife: Female, Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple yet satisfying life and is very low-maintenance yet proactive in her endeavors.
Cinderella’s Stepmother: Female, Vocal range top: F#5. Vocal range bottom: A3. The mean-spirited, demanding stepmother of Cinderella.
Florinda And Lucinda: Female, Vocal range top: Ab5. Vocal range bottom: C4. Cinderella’s stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother’s footsteps of abusing Cinderella.
Little Red Riding Hood: Female, Vocal range top: F5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. A spoiled young girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, fearless, yet youthful and naive.
The Witch: Female, Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Sarcastic, ugly- then-gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive.
Cinderella’s Mother: Female, Vocal range top: F4. Vocal range bottom: E4. Deceased with her soul guarding and aiding her daughter from a tree. [MAY DOUBLE AS GRANNY AND THE GIANT]
Granny: Female, Vocal Range: Spoken. Little Red’s grandmother who lives in the woods. She is feisty and vindictive towards the Wolf.
The Giant: Female, Vocal Range: Spoken. The giant’s wife that lives at the top of the beanstalk. She is loud, angry, and very, very big.
Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince: Male, Vocal range top: Gb4. Vocal range bottom: Bb2. Wolf: Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey. Prince: Vain and gorgeous, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting thing.
Rapunzel: Female, Vocal range top: A5. Vocal range bottom: B3. A loopy-but- lovely maiden who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience the world.
Rapunzel’s Prince: Male, Vocal range top: E4. Vocal range bottom: C#3. Just as vain and gorgeous as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exiting endeavor.
The Steward: Male, Vocal range: Ensemble Singer, A man-servant who is used to doing whatever he has to solve a problem. His only care is to please his master or the strongest personality in the room. Conniving, callous and cowardly.
Cinderella’s Father: Male, Vocal range: Ensemble singer. Out of touch with his family but harmless and well-meaning.
Sleeping Beauty and Snow White: Female, Vocal Range: Ensemble Singer. Damsels in distress that catch the wandering eyes of Cinderella’s and Rapunzel’s princes.
