Open Call in Laurel MD for Various Projects this weekend.
Slate Casting of Boston is heading South to the DMV area to hold an open casting call for several upcoming commercial and video projects being produced in the local area.
Past Slate Casting projects in the DMV area have included Navy Federal Credit Union, AAA, Ancestry.com, Nike, Holiday Inn and Bayer.
Slate Casting is looking for all types of people for commercials featuring Real People. This includes groups of friends, families, couples, and individuals of all ages and ethnicities.
The Open Call will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Doubletree by Hilton Laurel, 15101 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD.
Slate Casting is looking for the following:

Men and Women Ages 2 – 100
Families, couples and friend groups are encouraged to come together!
No acting experience necessary
Come anytime between 10 am – 4 pm. No appointment necessary and nothing to prepare. “We have been casting in the DMV area for several years and have built relationships with some wonderful companies,” said Ashley Skomurski, Owner/Casting Director at Slate Casting. “Many of our projects feature Real People, not actors, so we planned this Open Casting Call to meet people who are interested in being involved with future video projects in the area.” According to Skomurski, people who attend the Open Call will have their pictures taken and have the opportunity to tell the casting directors a little about themselves and their interests. “It will literally take 5 minutes, but it will be really fun!,” replied Skomurski.
