The North Arkansas Dance Theatre in Batesville, Arkansas, Holding Auditions for The Nutcracker

The North Arkansas Dance Theatre (NADT), a non-profit organization, will soon be presenting its annual production of “The Nutcracker.”

Open casting call for children and adult (ages 5 and up) roles on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

About the show:
You will be transported to a magical world of dancing Sugar Plums, a Mouse King and Toy Soldiers. Follow Clara on her journey filled with interesting characters, amazing costumes and beautiful scenery. This classical ballet is loved by audiences of all ages. Make The Nutcracker an annual tradition with your friends and family.

 

 

Open casting call:
Sat. Aug. 19 from 3:30-4:30 at the Batesville Academy at 157 W. Main for ages 5 thru Adult.
No dance experience required, nor do you have to be affiliated with us.
So, come on down and to get your part assigned and be in this wonderful Holiday Tradition!

Batesville is located in Independence County, Arkansas, 80 miles northeast of Little Rock.

No formal dance training is required for these parts, and attendees do not have to be affiliated with NADT or the NADT Dance Academy to participate.

In the past, NADT says it has had participants from Stone, Independence, Izard, Sharp, and Fulton counties.

The performances will be at the University of Arkansas Community College in Batesville the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Nutcracker Placement Call for the Public is Sat. Aug. 19 from 3:30-4:30 pm for ages 5 and up.

Everyone gets a part and you don’t have to have dance experience or be associated with NADT.
So come on down and get your part for this year’s Nutcracker!

Our 2023 performances will be Nov 17 and 18 at 7 pm with a Saturday Matinee at 2:30 pm at UACCB in Batesville.
