I was a firefighter for 6 years. I feel it is important to tell the stories of the unsung heroes. This is a story about the daily life of firefighters and the importance of roadside safety.
Natalie in her late 20s is attending a shift at her job, where she works as a firefighter. Throughout the day she attends multiple calls and trains with her firefighting partner Captain Ross. She begins to have flashbacks during her day of her recently deceased father who was the fire chief. She attends a call that night where she is attempting to save a man that looks eerily like her father. Her emotions overtake her, and she does not see the car driving directly towards her and her patient. A vision of her deceased father appears in the trees behind her, she hears him call her name, and heroically pulls them both to safety at the last second.

Roles:
Chief Benjamin Strand: AA Male 60s. He is currently deceased, but he appears in two flashbacks with Natalie, and a vision in the final scene. He is a strong old salty dog. He was incredibly respected, and he has been hard to replace.
Marlene: AA female 50s-60s, Natalie’s mother, and the widow of Chief Strand. She has persevered after the death of her husband, and she has gotten closer to Natalie in the last few months. The firefighters feel like real family to her because of the years of service of her husband and daughter. Filming April 26th on Hilton Head Island, SC
Young Benjamin Strand – AA male early – mid 30s, filmed in a flashback, he is currently a firefighter but strives to be chief one day. He loves his job and believes in being the best aid to society. Natalie’s father. Filming April 28th in Richmond Hill, GA
BG Firefighters for station. Filming April 26th on Hilton Head Island. Between the hours of 8:30AM-5PM. Done before 5PM. We need 2-4 men or women ages 25-45 to portray firefighters in the station as background. Males, No beards, or excessive facial hair. It is a plus if you are or have been a firefighter. Depending on the scene, you will be costumed in a uniform, workout attire, or turnout gear.
