Auditions for “The Foreigner”

In the rustic landscapes of rural Georgia, a quaint fishing lodge becomes the setting for a comedy of errors involving the eccentric “Froggy” LeSueur, a British demolitions expert known for his occasional training sessions at a nearby army base. This time, Froggy brings along a unique companion, the extremely shy Charlie, who harbors an intense fear of conversing with strangers. To spare Charlie from the social discomfort, Froggy, in his typical whimsical fashion, spins a yarn, informing everyone that Charlie hails from an exotic foreign country and is completely devoid of English language skills.

As the cast of characters gathers, the laughter ensues when Charlie unintentionally eavesdrops on more than he bargained for—unveiling the nefarious schemes of a deceitful minister and his redneck accomplice, discovering the impending parenthood of the minister’s lovely fiancée, and stumbling upon a host of other scandalous revelations. The comedy unfolds relentlessly as Charlie comprehends every word spoken, fueling the hilarity that permeates the play. The uproarious climax delivers a delightful twist of fate, turning the tables on the “bad guys” and allowing the “good guys” to emerge triumphant in this wildly funny escapade.

Roles available: 5 men & 2 women
