Theater Auditions in Greenville, Tennesee for “Crimes of the Heart”

The Theatre Department of Walters State Community College is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of “Crimes of the Heart” at the Niswonger Campus in Greeneville.

Auditions will take place on Monday, February 26th, and Tuesday, February 27th, starting at 7 p.m. on both evenings.

The auditions will be held in the Lyceum and are open to the public, welcoming non-students to participate as well. No prior theatre experience is necessary, as auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Crimes of the Heart” is a compelling blend of tragedy and comedy, revolving around the lives of three sisters. Originally debuting in 1981, the play received critical acclaim, earning writer Beth Henley both a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize. The 1986 film adaptation featured renowned actresses Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange, and Sissy Spacek.

Performance dates are scheduled for April 12th-14th and April 19th-21st, featuring Friday and Saturday evening shows, along with Sunday matinees. All performances will be hosted at the Niswonger Campus.
