Virgin Voyages is casting energetic influencers, movers, and dancers for their Happenings cast.
This audition is for a cruise ship job and those cast will create unique, engaging experiences aboard the Virgin Voyages cruise ships.
As part of this 12-person cast, performers will entertain guests through dance classes, trivia, parties, and event support, redefining the role of Cruise Director. Six-month contracts are available across the Caribbean and Mediterranean in 2025 and 2026.
Please note that applicants must be 21 or older. This is a paid gig with a weekly starting salary of $1,000. As a bonus, you will get provided housing, transportation, meals, and a clothing stipend. Auditions are scheduled by appointment only on November 17 & 19, 2025 in New York City.

We’re throwing out the rule book and reinventing the Cruise Director and Cruise Staff. Introducing Happenings. Composed of 12 fabulous and exceptional humans, our Happenings cast is on the frontline of Sailor satisfaction on a Virgin Voyages sailing.
As one of our Happenings Cast members, you can expect to be entertaining small and large groups by leading our vibrant sailors through dance classes, cheeky trivias, and performing in some of our epic parties. Additionally, you’ll provide general support to ensure ‘Smooth Operations’ around our events.

Six-month contracts will be ongoing throughout 2024/2025 on our fleet of ships across the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. All performers must be 21 years of age or older. Salary: Starting at $1,000/wk. Housing (single-cabin with private bath), transportation, and all meals provided. Some stipend provided for clothing / looks.
ROLES:
INFLUENCERS – We’re looking for personable, outgoing, confident brand ambassadors who are ready to jump onboard and rock the boat! THE FLARE, THE HYPE, THE SPARK, THE GLOW, and THE BOUNCE are excited to guide our sailors through an exhilarating journey of our most exciting activities and events onboard our ladyships. Our influencers are always front and center, showing off their best dance moves and letting their electrifying personalities soar by hosting our party activations around the vessel. These “ship famous” social guides must be ready to help our sailors boost their vacation energy! Each member of the cast focuses on a specific topic or theme they are experts in and pass that passion and knowledge on to our Sailors all voyage long. From parties to bar crawls, Happenings make it all happen.
THE CHARMER – Magician with excellent close up skills. Ability to go with the flow and perform anytime/anywhere. Ability to hold an audience of one to one hundred. Ability to teach moments of magic to guests.
THE BALANCER
Whether you’re aligning your chakras in morning yoga or detoxing at the 80’s workout video-inspired fitness class, The Balancer will show you how to enjoy the best of both on your voyage. Wellness-focused with nutrition and exercise expertise. Able to hold a group in conversation, whether at rest or at play. Be an epic motivator, always making others feel good about what they are doing. Any gender identity and ethnicity/ethic background.
THE GAMER
Then take a chance on The Gamer. Join our connoisseur of competition for hosted tournaments, quizzes, and trivias all over our lady ship and on the shores of Bimini. Feeling competitive, Sailor? Expert gamer, both digital and old school. Ability to quickly learn new games and teach them on the fly. Ability to engage an audience and make things seem super cool and relevant. Be able to update content of games based on current events and guest demographics. Ready to play with guests and make them feel comfortable and at ease. THE ARTIST
The Artist is knowledgeable in many mediums and encourages Sailors to color outside of the lines. Live Life Colorfully or paint with boozy bevvies — to get creative and express yourself. Supplies are included, but talent certainly isn’t necessary. Visual artist, preferably of multiple mediums. Really good at explaining the artistic process to others. Able to guide novice artists through a project to completion. Enjoy being watched creating my art and can create in loud, disruptive spaces. Any gender identity and ethnicity/ethic background.
THE FOODIE
They may not be making the meals, but they sure do know where to find ’em. The Foodie takes you on Grog Walks, cooks up classes, and shakes up mixology. And they’re not just about the food, they also have a heavy knowledge of health and well-being. Knowledgeable about the culinary world. Not necessarily a master chef, but knows their way around the kitchen. Especially engaging and good at commanding a crowd. Very nutrition minded, with a heavy knowledge of good health and wellbeing.
