American Idol, the iconic music competition that launched the careers of stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, and many more, is back and kicking off its search for the next big talent – starting in Nashville, Tennessee.
Now entering its 2026 season, American Idol is one of the most beloved and long-running talent competitions on television. Airing on ABC, the show gives aspiring singers across the country the chance to showcase their vocal skills, win the hearts of America, and launch major music careers. Contestants are mentored by celebrity judges and perform for a national audience, culminating in one singer being crowned the next American Idol.
