Be in a Taylor Sheridan TV Show – Casting Call in Texas.
The unstoppable production machine called Taylor Sheridan is at it once again. That’s right, a new show is filming in Texas this fall. The show called “Rio Palo” or “Rio Paloma” is in production in various areas of Texas.
According to local news sources, the show began production just few weeks back and is another spinoff of Taylor Sheridan’s enormously successful “Yellowstone” series. Looks like filming is actually underway in various towns in Texas.
For now, filming is happening just outside of the Dallas / Fort Worth area. The casting notice for Texas extras is very specific… however, the casting directors are also taking general submission through their app and have an open call which is ongoing. See below.
Yellowstone Spinoff “Rio Palo” Begins Filming in Texas.
A new chapter in the Yellowstone universe is officially in production. This is the 7th? I think spinoff of the Yellowstone franchise. Production on the spinoff series, working under the title “Rio Palo” (Spanish for “Stick River”), began in August 2025 across several Texas towns, including Ferris, Cleburne, and Mineral Wells. That is according to local news.
The series is expected to spotlight fan-favorite characters Beth and Rip. However, not much other info has been released. Taylor Sheridan has been a massive force in TV production and has produced a large number of hit shows for Paramount that went on to become fan favorites.
The show seems to be actively seeking people to work as paid extras on set. The extras casting directors handling this is Legacy Casting which handles quite a few Texas shows including other Taylor Sheridan series.
