How to Audition

To secure a guaranteed audition appointment, email auditions@henegar.org with the following information: your SATB vocal part, preferred audition date and time, and a recent headshot. Walk-ins will be seen on a first-available basis but may experience long wait times.

In-person auditions are strongly preferred. However, performers who live more than 90 miles from the theater may submit a virtual audition. Virtual submissions must include a headshot, theater résumé, a vocal selection from the show, and a dance reel (if applicable). Submissions are due no later than Saturday, June 21. Please include your preferred roles, willingness to accept other roles, any known scheduling conflicts, and if housing is required.

All performers age 16 and older will receive a paid travel stipend at the conclusion of the run. The Henegar may offer Equity Guest Contracts to union members and other contracts for professional actors when necessary.

The Henegar is an Equal Opportunity Theatre and encourages performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and body types to audition. Please do not self-eliminate based on perceived “type.”

Audition nights will include music, scenes, and choreography from the show. Callbacks may take place the same night. Vocal sides will be distributed in advance once your appointment is confirmed.
