Open auditions announced in Chicago for singers interested in joining the Broadway and National Touring Companies of the hit musical Wicked.

If so, read on as open auditions for the Broadway hit are coming to the Chicago area.
The production is seeking performers ages 18 and older, of any ethnicity and gender, who possess outstanding voices, strong vocal range, and the ability to move well. Roles are available for both principal and ensemble positions in the two North American productions of the show.
The open call will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ballet Chicago, located at 17 North State Street, 19th Floor, Chicago, IL 60602. Doors will not open until 10:00 a.m., and singers must arrive prior to 12:30 p.m. to be considered. Equity and non-Equity performers are welcome, but all must have authorization to legally work in the United States.

Auditionees should prepare 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song to be performed a cappella. Sopranos have the option to sing 16 bars of a traditional legit musical theatre selection. Participants are also asked to bring sheet music in case they are asked to sing with piano accompaniment. A headshot and resume, stapled together, are required at the audition. Potential callbacks are scheduled for September 9, 2025.
