Actors Needed for Staged Reading of The Maid’s Metaverse in Portland
Playwright Nikhil Kashyap’s work The Maid’s Metaverse has been selected for the PNMC Reader’s Series, a theater festival in Portland, Oregon, and he is seeking actors to participate in a staged reading of the piece.
The performance will take place on Saturday, August 16 at 1:30 PM, in Portland.
About the Play:
The Maid’s Metaverse follows Sarasu, a live-in maid in India, who discovers a virtual reality headset that forces her to confront who she really wants to be — and reveals that even questioning her reality comes at a cost.
Roles Available:
Sarasu (Lead): South Asian woman, age 35–55
Akka (Lead): South Asian woman, age 35–55

Compensation: $50 per hour, covering 1.5 hours of rehearsal and 1.5 hours of performance
