Ballet Brazos is calling all ballerinas and dancers to audition for their annual production of The Nutcracker.
Auditions will be held on August 16 and are open to dancers aged eight through collegiate level from across the Brazos Valley community.
This beloved holiday production features about 144 performers on stage each year, including guest professional ballet dancers. Behind the scenes, local ballet instructors from various area schools work closely with the dancers to rehearse and perfect choreography. Dedicated volunteers contribute their talents to designing and constructing the beautiful costumes, sets, and scenery that bring the classic ballet to life.
More performer opportunities and shows in Texas.
Ballet Brazos is also committed to outreach efforts throughout the year, collaborating with area agencies and school districts to bring fine arts experiences and ballet performances to more children in the community.
Performances:
The performances will take place in December at
Rudder Auditorium – Texas A&M, College Station, TX

While there are about 144 dancers on stage each year, not every person who auditions will land a role in the ballet.
