Auditions Announced for L.A. Premiere of Once Upon a One More Time, Featuring the Iconic Music of Britney Spears
Fairy tales are getting a pop-powered twist this fall in Los Angeles! Jaxx Theatricals has announced open auditions for the Los Angeles premiere of Once Upon a One More Time — a bold, empowering, and hilariously modern musical mashup featuring the chart-topping hits of Britney Spears.
This 50-seat AEA Showcase production is directed by Colin Tracy, with choreography by Kasmira Buchanan and Viktor Simon, and music direction by Dr. James Lent. While the production operates under a volunteer (unpaid) AEA agreement, it offers performers the opportunity to star in a high-energy, professional production of a Broadway hit, fresh from its New York run.

About the Show:
Once Upon a One More Time follows your favorite fairytale princesses as they wrestle with old narratives and discover new ones—sparked by the arrival of a mysterious book club and guided by the empowering soundtrack of Britney Spears. With hits like “Oops!… I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” “Lucky,” and “Stronger,” this is a story of rewriting destiny with glitter, girl power, and pop anthems.
Casting Breakdown:
Jaxx Theatricals is seeking strong triple-threat performers of all backgrounds for most roles. A few parts have already been cast (noted below), but the majority of the cast remains open.
Principal Roles:
Cinderella – The heart of the kingdom. Must be a dynamic vocalist and grounded actor. (E3–E5)
Snow White (“Snow”) – Innocent and sweet with great comic timing. Cinderella’s best friend. (F3–D5)
Prince Charming – Charismatic and commanding. Used to getting his way. (Bb2–B4)
Fairy Godmother (OFG) – A delightfully daffy rogue mentor. (C4–B4)
Stepmother – Sharp, scheming, and savvy. (E3–Bb5)
Belinda and Betany – The Stepsisters. Funny, sassy, and vocal powerhouses.

Narrator – The ring leader of the story. Strong actor/singer who moves well.
